Clayton Isbell
} Clayton Isbell (born August 3, 2000) is an American professional football safety who is a member of the Edmonton Elks. He played college football at Illinois State, Utah, and Coastal Carolina before being signed by the Panthers as an undrafted free agent. Early life and high school Isbell attended high school at St. Charles East. Coming out of high school, Isbell decided to commit to play college football for the Illinois State Redbirds. College career Illinois State During Isbell's career at Illinois State, he played in 28 games notching 105 tackles with five and a half being for a loss, six pass deflections, five interceptions, two fumble recoveries, and a forced fumble, en route to being named a FCS All-American twice. Safety is a position in gridiron football on the defense. The safeties are defensive backs who line up ten to fifteen yards from the line of scrimmage. There are two variations of the position: the free safety and the strong safety. Their duties depend on the defensive scheme. The 2023 UCLA Bruins football team represented the University of California, Los Angeles in the Pac-12 Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season.
