Claudio Marenzi
Claudio Marenzi (born February 10, 1962, in Arona) is an Italian entrepreneur, currently serving as President of Herno Spa and President and CEO of Montura Spa. Biography Claudio is the third son of Giuseppe Marenzi, founder of Herno Spa in 1948 along with his wife Alessandra Diana. He began working in the family business at a young age, holding positions in various departments, such as Operations Director and Commercial Director for the foreign market, focusing particularly on the Japanese market, where Herno has been present since 1968. In 2007, he was appointed CEO of Herno Spa, and in 2011, he also assumed the role of President. Since then, he has worked to expand the brand's international presence. Marenzi has always emphasized the importance of the connection with the local area, particularly with Lesa and the Piedmont shore of Lake Maggiore, while maintaining creative and production control and valuing functionality as well as aesthetics in Herno's products. Arona, Piedmont
Arona (; ; ) is a town and ''comune'' on Lake Maggiore, in the province of Novara (northern Italy). Its main economic activity is tourism, especially from Milan, France and Germany. History Archaeological findings have shown that the area of what today is Arona was settled from the 18th–13th centuries BC. Prehistoric pile-dwellings have been found near the town and are part of the Prehistoric Pile dwellings around the Alps UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later, it was a possession of the Celts, the Romans and the Lombards. In the era of the Roman Empire, Arona became an essential waypoint of the Simplon route, used by the Roman army for the conquest of Gaul region. This historical importance is reflected in the artifacts discovered from a Roman necropolis, including urns, terracotta pots, and coins, which are currently exhibited in the city museum in Piazza San Graziano. Lake Maggiore
Lake Maggiore (, ; ; ; ; literally 'greater lake') or Verbano (; ) is a large lake located on the south side of the Alps. It is the second largest lake in Italy and the largest in southern Switzerland. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the Italian regions of Piedmont and Lombardy and the Swiss canton of Ticino. Located halfway between Lake Orta and Lake Lugano, Lake Maggiore extends for about between Locarno and Arona. The climate is mild in both summer and winter, producing Mediterranean vegetation, with many gardens growing rare and exotic plants.
