Claudio Bortolotto
Claudio Bortolotto (born 19 March 1952) is an Italian former professional cyclist. The highlight of his career came with his victories in the Mountains classification in the Giro d'Italia, mountains classification at the Giro d'Italia, which he won in 1979 Giro d'Italia, 1979, 1980 Giro d'Italia, 1980, and 1981 Giro d'Italia, 1981. Bortolotto finished also eighth overall in the 1977 Giro d'Italia, 1977 and 1978 Giro d'Italia, 1978 editions of the race. He retired from cycling in 1984. The Italian National Road Race Championships is a road bicycle racing, road cycling event held annually, which decides the Italy, Italian cycling champion in the road racing discipline, across several categories of riders. The event was officially first held in 1906 (won by Giovanni Cuniolo), having been held unofficially since 1885. At the beginning there were often back-to-back wins from many riders. Costante Girardengo won the event nine times between 1913 and 1925, either side of World War I, including seven consecutive wins between 1919 and 1925.
