Clara "Clarita" Agustina de Uriburu Roca (1 April 1908 - 22 April 1995) was an Argentinian socialite included in ''The Book of Beauty'' by Cecil Beaton. Biography Clara "Clarita" Agustina de Uriburu Roca was born on 1 April 1908 in Buenos Aires Buenos Aires ( or ; ), officially the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires ( es, link=no, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires), is the Capital city, capital and primate city of Argentina. The city is located on the western shore of the Río de la Plata ..., Argentina, the daughter of José Evaristo de Uriburu Tezanos Pinto (1880-1956), Argentinian Ambassador in London from 1927 to 1931, and Agustina Eloísa Roca Funes. Her grandfather was José Evaristo de Uriburu, President of Argentina from 23 January 1895 to 12 October 1898. On 15 December 1938 she married Eduardo Cernadas Martel and had one son, Eduardo Cernadas Uriburu. She died on 22 April 1995 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and is buried at Cementerio de la Recoleta. Sir Cecil Walter Hardy Beaton, (14 January 1904 – 18 January 1980) was a British fashion, portrait and war photographer, diarist, painter, and interior designer, as well as an Academy Awards, Oscar–winning stage design, stage and costume designer for films and the theatre. Early life and education Beaton was born on 14 January 1904 in Hampstead, north London, the son of Ernest Walter Hardy Beaton (1867–1936), a prosperous timber merchant, and his wife, Esther "Etty" Sisson (1872–1962). His grandfather, Walter Hardy Beaton (1841–1904), had founded the family business of "Beaton Brothers Timber Merchants and Agents", and his father followed into the business. Ernest Beaton was an amateur actor and met his wife, Cecil's mother Esther ("Etty"), when playing the lead in a play. José Evaristo Uriburu
José Félix Evaristo de Uriburu y Álvarez de Arenales (November 19, 1831 – October 23, 1914) was President of Argentina from 23 January 1895 to 12 October 1898. He was an adept diplomat; participating as arbiter on the peace negotiations on the War of the Pacific between Chile, Perú and Bolivia. He was Vice-President and became President of Argentina in 1895 when Luis Sáenz Peña resigned. La Recoleta Cemetery ( es, Cementerio de la Recoleta) is a cemetery located in the Recoleta neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
