Claire Polosak
Claire Antonia Polosak (born 7 April 1988) is an Australian cricket umpire. Polosak is a school teacher by profession. In January 2017, she was one of the four female umpires named by the ICC to stand in matches in the 2017 Women's Cricket World Cup Qualifier. On 8 October 2017, she became the first woman to stand as an on-field umpire in a men's domestic fixture in Australia, when she was one of the umpires in the match between New South Wales and Cricket Australia XI in the 2017–18 JLT One-Day Cup. On 11 January 2018, she became the first woman to umpire a match involving the England men's cricket team, when she stood in a one-day warm up match between England and a Cricket Australia XI. Goulburn, New South Wales
Goulburn ( ) is a regional city in the Southern Tablelands of the Australian state of New South Wales, approximately south-west of Sydney, and north-east of Canberra. Eloise Sheridan (born September 1985) is an Australian cricket umpire who is part of the Development Panel of ICC Umpires. In December 2018, Sheridan and Claire Polosak became the first pair of female umpires to stand in competitive match in Australia, when they officiated in the 2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season. In February 2019, Sheridan and Mary Waldron became the first female umpires to stand in a men's grade cricket match, during a fixture in the South Australian Grade Cricket League. Sheridan was also one of the umpires for the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in Scotland, her first international appointment. The 2022–23 ICC Men's T20 World Cup East Asia-Pacific Qualifier was a cricket tournament that formed part of the qualification process for the 2024 ICC Men's T20 World Cup. The first stage of the qualification pathway in the East Asia-Pacific (EAP) region consisted of two sub-regional qualifiers: Qualifier A in Vanuatu in September 2022, and Qualifier B in Japan in October 2022. The Cook Islands and Fiji both played their first official men's T20I matches during Qualifier A. Vanuatu finished top of Qualifier A with five wins out of six, and advanced to the regional final. Twenty20 International
A Twenty20 International (T20I) is a form of cricket, played between two of the international members of the International Cricket Council (ICC), in which each team faces a maximum of twenty overs. The matches have top-class status and are the highest T20 standard. The game is played under the rules of Twenty20 cricket. Starting from the format's inception in 2005, T20I status only applied to Full Members and some Associate Member teams. However, in April 2018, the ICC announced that it would grant T20I status to all its 105 members from 1 January 2019. 2022 Women's Cricket World Cup
The 2022 ICC Women's Cricket World Cup was the twelfth edition of the Women's Cricket World Cup, which was held in New Zealand in March and April 2022. It was originally scheduled for 6 February to 7 March 2021 but was postponed by one year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On 15 December 2021, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that the tournament would start on 4 March 2022, with the final scheduled for 3 April 2022. New Zealand qualified automatically as hosts, with all other qualification places determined by the ICC ODI Rankings. Originally, it was announced that three more teams would qualify from the 2017–2020 ICC Women's Championship, but in 2018 this was changed to four teams plus the hosts.
