Clair DeGeorge
Clair DeGeorge (born June 7, 1999) is an American professional ice hockey forward for the Toronto Sceptres of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). She previously played for the Minnesota Frost and Montreal Victoire. She played college ice hockey at Bemidji State and Ohio State. Early life DeGeorge began figure skating at three years old, before transitioning to ice hockey. In Alaska she only played boys' hockey, until she moved to Minnesota to play for Shattuck-Saint Mary's at 13 years old. She played all four of her prep seasons for the Sabres, leading the team to a national championship each year. College career DeGeorge began her collegiate career for Bemidji State during the 2017–18 season. During her freshman year, she recorded seven goals and 16 assists in 37 games. PWHL Minnesota
The Minnesota Frost are a professional ice hockey team based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, that competes in the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL). They are one of the six charter franchises of the league. The team plays its home games at Xcel Energy Center. In 2024, the Frost won the PWHL's inaugural Walter Cup championship. Professional Women's Hockey Players Association
The Professional Women's Hockey Players Association (PWHPA) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advocating for the promotion of professional women's ice hockey. It was founded in May 2019 following the dissolution of the Canadian Women's Hockey League. PWHPA members expressed dissatisfaction with the operations of the existing professional National Women's Hockey League (renamed the Premier Hockey Federation in 2021) and vowed to boycott existing women's leagues and to work towards the establishment of a unified, financially sustainable professional league. From 2019 to 2023, the PWHPA organized a series of exhibition seasons, known as the Dream Gap tours, to generate support towards its goal. NCAA Women's Ice Hockey Tournament
The annual NCAA women's ice hockey tournament—officially known as the National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Championship—is a college ice hockey tournament held in the United States by the National Collegiate Athletic Association to determine the top women's team in the NCAA. The Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs women's ice hockey team plays for the University of Minnesota Duluth at the AMSOIL Arena in Duluth, Minnesota. Quinnipiac Bobcats Women's Ice Hockey
The Quinnipiac Bobcats women's ice hockey program represents Quinnipiac University. The Bobcats have competed in ECAC Hockey since the 2005-2006 season where they replaced Vermont when the Catamounts moved to Hockey East. 2022 NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey Tournament
The 2022 NCAA National Collegiate Women's Ice Hockey Tournament was a single-elimination tournament by eleven schools to determine the national champion of women's NCAA Division I college ice hockey. This was the first year the tournament featured an expanded field of 11 teams. The first round and quarterfinals were played on at the campuses of seeded teams on March 10 and 12, 2022, while the Frozen Four was played on March 18 and 20, 2022 at Pegula Ice Arena in University Park, Pennsylvania.
