''Claea'' is a genus of stone loaches. Before recent expansion, it was formerly a monotypic genus. Other former members (''C. sonlaensis'' and ''C. trilineatus'') are now in ''Schistura''. The former subspecies ''C. d. microphthalma'' is now ''Triplophysa microphthalma'', along with ''Triplophysa niulanjiangensis'' The genus name is an allusion to Claea (mythology), Claea, an Oread mountain nymph from Greek mythology.
