Civil Administration Medal (Sarawak)
The Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (Civil Administration Medal) ranks fourth in the Sarawak State Orders, Decorations and Medals list. The medal was instituted in 1973, to recognize exemplary service in Civil Service. In 1988, another two were added to the ranks, which is the 'Meritorious Service Medal' and 'Commendable Service Medal'. The 'Companion' rank was added to the list in 2010. Order Of Meritorious Service To Sarawak
The ''Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak'' (Order of Meritorious Service to Sarawak) is the third-ranking order in the list of orders of the Sarawak State Orders, Decorations and Medals. The Order was instituted in 1997, and is limited to only 100 living recipients at one time. This order may be awarded to any civil servants or officers of statutory bodies that discharged their duties honourably and rendered excellent service to the State of Sarawak.''(Swk. G.N. 2545/1997 p. 2581 as amended by Swk. G.N. 755/2003 & Swk. G. N 369/2010)'' The Order consists of a Breast Star, a Sash, a Sash Badge, and a Miniature Medal. The recipients of the order will receive the title ''Datu'' (for both male & female recipients) while the wives are styled ''Datin''. Husbands of recipients do not enjoy a courtesy title. George Chan Hong Nam
George Chan Hong Nam (; born 24 September 1936), is a Malaysian doctor who is the former Deputy Chief Minister of Sarawak, state Industrial Development Minister and state Tourism and Heritage Minister. He is the former member of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly for Piasau, Miri after having lost his seat to the Democratic Action Party in the 2011 Sarawak State Election. He is also former President of the Sarawak United Peoples' Party (SUPP). After losing state election in his constituency, he had sent a resignation letter to the party but was asked by the central committee members to stay on until the party's Triennial Delegates Conference (TDC) which was held in December 2011. Personal life Chan is divorced from his American wife of Irish descent, Judith Chan. The couple has four daughters.
