Satsuma, Alabama
Satsuma is a city in Mobile County, Alabama, United States. At the 2020 census, the population was 6,749, up from 6,168 at the 2010 census. Western Michigan Broncos Football
The Western Michigan Broncos football program represents Western Michigan University in the Football Bowl Subdivision of Division I and the Mid-American Conference (MAC). Western Michigan has competed in football since 1906, when they played three games in their inaugural season. In 1927, WMU joined four other schools (Central Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, Ferris State University, and Wayne State University) to form the Michigan Collegiate Conference. Western Michigan then moved to its present conference in 1948. Prior to 1939, Western Michigan's athletic teams were known as the Hilltoppers. Lance Taylor (American Football)
Lance Taylor (born July 17, 1981) is an American football coach and former player. He is the head football coach at Western Michigan University, a position he has held since the 2023 season. Playing career Taylor was a walk-on wide receiver for Alabama from 1999 to 2002, where he played under four different head coaches - Mike DuBose, Dennis Franchione, Mike Price, and Mike Shula. He eventually would play in 38 consecutive games as a wide receiver and earn a scholarship. As a senior, Taylor was a special-teams captain. Taylor played professional football for the Colorado Crush and Columbus Destroyers of the Arena Football League, and the Green Bay Blizzard and the Louisville Fire of the AF2. John R. Kimbrough (born August 12, 1954) is a former American football wide receiver who played in the National Football League. College career Kimbrough was a member of the football and track and field teams at St. Cloud State. Saraland High School (SHS), located in Saraland, Alabama, is a public high school operated by the Saraland City School System that educates grades 9– 12. The school's mascot is the spartan. History Saraland Schools was previously part of the Mobile County Public School System until 2006. Satsuma High School is a public high school (grades 7–12) in Satsuma, Alabama, United States. It is a part of the Satsuma City School System. Prior to 2012 it was a part of the Mobile County Public School System. The present Satsuma High School was first opened in 1958. The building that housed the first Satsuma High School in 1918 to 2000 has recently been remodeled to hold the history department, a few mathematics classes, and a gymnasium. Lee Elementary (K-6) and Satsuma High School (7-12). Dr. Bart Reeves, is the current Superintendent. Calvert is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Mobile and Washington counties, Alabama, United States.
