The Circolo Sportivo Italiano is a Peruvian sports club located in the Lima metropolitan area. It is best known for its football, volleyball and basketball teams, which participate in national competitions, such as the Copa Perú, the Liga Nacional Superior and the Liga de Basket, respectively. The club's other sports include paleta frontón, bocce, billiards, fencing, swimming, rowing and tennis. Italian Peruvians (; ) are Peruvian-born citizens who are fully or partially of Italian descent, whose ancestors were Italians who emigrated to Peru during the Italian diaspora, or Italian-born people in Peru. Víctor Yoshimar Yotún Flores (; born 7 April 1990) is a Peruvian professional footballer who plays for Peruvian Liga 1 club Sporting Cristal and the Peru national team. 1940 Lima Earthquake
The 1940 Lima earthquake occurred on May 24 at 11:35 a.m. PST with a magnitude of 8.2 on the moment magnitude scale. La Punta District
La Punta is a district of the Constitutional Province of Callao in Peru, and one of the seven districts that make up the port city of Callao. It is located on a peninsula in the western part of the province and is almost entirely surrounded by the Pacific Ocean, except on its northeastern side, where it is bordered by downtown Callao. Brazil Avenue (), formerly known as Magdalena or Piérola, is a major avenue in Lima, Peru. It crosses the districts of Lima, Breña, Jesús María, Pueblo Libre, and Magdalena del Mar.
