CinéGroupe is a Canadian animation studio based in Montreal, Quebec. The company was founded in 1974. Its shows and films have been seen in over 125 countries. Notable franchises from CinéGroupe include: '' What's with Andy?'', '' The Kids from Room 402'', and '' Pig City'' (all aired on Fox Family, now known as Freeform); the computer-animated ''Tripping the Rift'' (Sci Fi, now known as Syfy); and PBS' ''Sagwa, the Chinese Siamese Cat''. With Sony Wonder, it has produced ''Mega Babies'' (also aired on Fox Family), as well as a direct-to-video feature, '' Lion of Oz'' (a prequel to both the L. Frank Baum work, and the 1939 movie). ''Mega Babies'' is an animated children's television series created by the Tremblay brothers, Christian and Yvon, who previously had made the Hanna-Barbera show '' SWAT Kats: The Radical Squadron''. ''Bad Dog'' is an animated series produced by CinéGroupe and Saban Entertainment for the Teletoon and Fox Family Channel networks, first airing on Teletoon on March 1, 1999. The cartoon focused on the Potanski family and their dog Berkeley. The show's gimmick was that, whenever Berkeley was told that he was a bad dog, he would freeze and pretend to be dead until someone told him he was a good dog. The show was inspired by the '' After Dark'' screensaver "Bad Dog". The two dogs have a similar appearance, and the "Bad Dog" of the show is named Berkeley, a likely reference to Berkeley Systems, the creators of After Dark. ''Galidor: Defenders of the Outer Dimension'', sometimes shortened as ''Galidor'', is a 2002 television series that ran on YTV in Canada and Fox Kids in the United States in 2002 with a total of 26 half-hour episodes.
