Cihangir G.S.K.
Cihangir Gençlik Spor Kulübü is a Turkish Cypriot sports club based in Cihangir, in Northern Cyprus. History Founded in 1951, Cihangir reached the top flight for the first time in 2007. Since that season, it never was relegated from the Süper Lig. In 2018, Cihangir achieved its first title ever by winning the Cypriot Cup after beating 3–1 Mağusa Türk Gücü in the final. Cihangir
Cihangir is an affluent neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Beyoğlu, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 3,739 (2022). It is located between Taksim Square and Kabataş. It has many narrow streets, two parks, and many street cafes especially in and around Akarsu Yokuşu Sokağı. The neighbourhood has a bohemian reputation. It is known for its artists, writers, actors, and expatriates – as well as its large army of street cats. It was also a stronghold for protesters during the Gezi Park protests. Cihangir was named after Şehzade Cihangir whose heartbroken father, Suleiman the Magnificent, had Mimar Sinan build a mosque overlooking the Bosphorus to commemorate his death. The name means "conqueror" in Turkish and, in turn, comes from the Persian compound word ''jahan'' + ''gir'' (جهانگیر), meaning "conqueror of the world". The 2025 KTFF Cypriot Cup was the 63rd edition of the Northern Cyprus national football knockout tournament. Lefke won the cup on 9 May 2025 (their third Cypriot Cup win), defeating Mağusa Türk Gücü 3–1 in the final. Round of 32 All clubs from the season's Süper Lig and 1. Lig joined the tournament since its first round. Matches were played on 18 and 19 January. Round of 16 Kozanköy was the only team from 1. Lig qualified for this round. All matches were played on 12 February. Quarter-finals The first legs of the quarter-finals were played on 5 March and the second legs on 19 March.
