Ciaran Lyons
Ciaran Lyons (born 13 December 1996) is an Australian stand up comedian, television and radio presenter. He is best known for his work as a presenter on national radio network triple j as well as his television appearances on '' The Project'', ''Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation'' and the latest series of SBS ''Filthy Rich and Homeless''. Personal life Lyons was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1996 where he lived for seven years before moving with his family to Perth, Australia. Career Lyons did his first gig aged 14 years old at the Laugh Resort Comedy Club in Perth, and began performing at major comedy venues around Australia. Whilst underage for the first few years of his career, his parents had to take him to all his shows. In 2012 he appeared in the WA Raw Comedy Finals, before winning "Next Gen Comedian" the following year at the 2013 Perth International Comedy Festival. Triple J
Triple J is an Australian government-funded national radio station founded in 1975 as a division of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC). It aims to appeal to young listeners of alternative music, and plays far more Australian content than commercial networks. The station was set up under the Gough Whitlam government, wanting to extend the appeal of the ABC to young Australians. Initially broadcasting as 2JJ or Double Jay from 19 January 1975, it stood apart from commercial stations with its lack of private advertising and its fringe music programming. Following a transition to FM in 1981, the station rebranded as 2JJJ or Triple J as it expanded regionally throughout the 1990s. Peter Rowsthorn (born 9 February 1963) is an Australian stand-up comedian, actor, writer, producer, MC, host and theatre. Early life and education Rowsthorn attended Trinity Grammar School in Kew, before pursuing tertiary education at Rusden College (now part of Deakin University), where he obtained a teaching degree. He worked as a drama teacher, prior to his show business career. He grew up in the Melbourne suburb of Mount Waverley. The Frontier Touring Company Pty Ltd, trading as Frontier Touring and also often known as Frontier, is one of Australia and New Zealand's largest concert promoters. The company was formed in November 1979 by Michael Gudinski as one of the first Mushroom Group ventures, with eight music industry partners; Gudinski has stayed at the helm since.
