Chrysopetra (, meaning "golden rock") is a village and a community south of the city of Kilkis in the Kilkis regional unit, Greece. Chrysopetra is part of the municipal unit Gallikos and has a population of 57 people (2021). Gallikos
Gallikos () is a village and a former municipality in the Kilkis (regional unit), Kilkis regional unit, Greece. Since the 2011 local government reform it is part of the municipality Kilkis, of which it is a municipal unit. The municipal unit has an area of 149.054 km2. Population 6,343 (2011). The seat of the municipality was in the village of Kampanis. The municipality Gallikos was created after 13 small villages in the area south of the city of Kilkis merged in the late 1990s when the Greek government implemented its Kapodistrias reform, Kapodistrias project to fuse - and thus limit the number of - local authorities in the country. Kilkis () is one of the regional units of Greece, in the geographic region of Macedonia. It is part of the region of Central Macedonia. Its capital is the city of Kilkis. Geography The geography of the regional unit of Kilkis is characterized by the wide and flat Axios river valley in the westcentral part, and mountain ranges on its western and northeastern edges. The mountain range in the west, on the border with Pella regional unit, is Mount Paiko (highest peak ). In the north, the Kerkini range straddles the border with North Macedonia. Kilkis () is a city in Central Macedonia, Greece. As of 2021 there were 24,130 people living in the city proper, 27,493 people living in the municipal unit, and 45,308 in the municipality of Kilkis.
