Highway 14 (Ontario)
King's Highway 14, commonly referred to as Highway 14, was a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. At its peak length, the route connected Highway 33 in Bloomfield, near Picton, with Highway 7 in Marmora. Portions of this longer route are now designated as Highway 62. Prior to being decommissioned, the route connected Highway62 in Foxboro with Highway7 in Marmora, via Stirling. What became Highway14 was designated as part of the original Ontario Highway System in 1920. The route, connecting Picton, Belleville and Foxboro, was officially established in May 1921 and numbered in mid-1925. It was extended north to Marmora in 1928, and remained generally unchanged over the next fifty years. In 1982, the Norris Whitney Bridge was opened over the Bay of Quinte. Bay Of Quinte
The Bay of Quinte () is a long, narrow bay shaped like the letter "Z" on the northern shore of Lake Ontario in the province of Ontario, Canada. It is just west of the head of the Saint Lawrence River that drains the Great Lakes into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. It is located about east of Toronto and west of Montreal. The name "Quinte" is derived from "''Kenté''" or Kentio, an Iroquoian village located near the south shore of the Bay. Later on, an early French Catholic mission was built at Kenté, located on the north shore of what is now Prince Edward County, leading to the Bay being named after the Mission. King's Highway 37, commonly referred to as Highway 37, is a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. It begins at Highway 401 in Belleville and travels north to Highway 7 in Actinolite. The route once continued south through Belleville to Highway 62, but was truncated in 1998. Prior to the re-routing, Highway 37 was long. Highway 37 was established in 1932 to provide one of several connections with the extension of Highway 7 between Peterborough and Ottawa that opened that year. Number Ten Creek is a creek in the Moira River and Lake Ontario drainage basins in Belleville, Hastings County, Ontario, Canada. Course Number Ten Creek begins in an unnamed field at an elevation of about southeast of the community of Moira. It flows west into an unnamed pond where it takes in an unnamed right tributary, then turns south. The creek continues to the east of the community of Phillipston, then heads southwest through the community of Zion Hill. King's Highway 62, commonly referred to as Highway 62, is a provincially maintained highway in the Canadian province of Ontario. The highway travels south–north from Highway 33 at Bloomfield in Prince Edward County, through Belleville, Madoc and Bancroft, to Maynooth, where it ends at a junction with Highway 127. Prior to 1997, the route continued north and east of Maynooth through Cobermere, Barry's Bay, Killaloe, Round Lake and Bonnechere to Highway 17 in Pembroke. This section of highway was redesignated Hastings Highlands Municipal Road62, Renfrew County Road62, and Renfrew County Road58. Highway62 was designated by the Department of Highways (DHO), predecessor to the modern Ministry of Transportation, in 1937 along the Madoc–Pembroke Road between those two communities.
