Christopher Prowse
Christopher Charles Prowse (born 14 November 1953 in East Melbourne, Victoria) is an Australian Roman Catholic bishop. He is currently the archbishop of the Archdiocese of CanberraGoulburn; appointed to the post on 12 September 2013 and installed as archbishop on 19 November 2013. On 12 September 2016, Prowse was named as apostolic administrator of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wagga Wagga following the retirement of Bishop Gerard Hanna. On 26 May 2020, Pope Francis announced Mark Stuart Edwards would become the sixth Bishop of Wagga Wagga, however Prowse remained apostolic administrator until Bishop Edwards' installation on 22 July 2020. Prowse served as the director of the Catholic Pastoral Formation Centre (1997-2001) and from 1999 was the media spokesman. Corpus Christi College is the regional seminary (and theologate) of the Roman Catholic dioceses in Victoria and Tasmania, Australia. Mark Stuart Edwards (born 14 June 1959) is an Australian Roman Catholic prelate and professed member of the Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate appointed as the Bishop of Wagga Wagga. He has served in the past as a teacher and as a rector before his episcopal elevation. Life Mark Stuart Edwards was born on 14 June 1959 in Indonesia as one of four children. His father was from South Australia and worked for Shell International in the Netherlands where he met his wife.
