Chris Pearson (born November 12, 1990) is a former American amateur boxer and currently a professional boxer in the Middleweight division. He signed a professional managerial contract with Al Haymon to launch his pro career, whose stable of fighters includes Floyd Mayweather Jr., Jermain Taylor and Paul Williams. Amateur career A southpaw with a 93-8 amateur record, Pearson was the 2009 Police Athletic League national champion and now has beaten four former Olympians, including Brazil’s Yamaguichi Florentino, a veteran of over 150 fights, and Bakhyt Sarsekbayev of Kazakhstan, the 2008 Beijing Games welterweight gold medalist — both of whom he conquered in Los Angeles. Christopher "Chris" William Pearson (April 29, 1931 – February 14, 2014) was the second leader of the Yukon Progressive Conservative Party and the first premier of the Yukon in the Yukon. Born in Lethbridge, Alberta, Pearson moved to the Yukon in 1957 and worked for the government from 1960 until 1973 when he entered private business. Prior to 1978, the territory had a non-partisan legislature with no individual acting as leader of the government or Premier. Career Pearson was first elected to the Yukon Legislative Assembly in the 1978 election. He was not the party's leader going into the election campaign, but was chosen as government leader because of the defeat of leader Hilda Watson in her own riding. He became the leader of the Yukon Territory Progressive Conservative Party on December 8, 1978, when Watson resigned as leader. Christopher A. Pearson (born January 5, 1973) is a Vermont politician and a member of the Vermont Progressive Party. He served three terms in the Vermont Senate as one of 6 senators representing Chittenden County. He previously served five terms in the Vermont House of Representatives representing the Chittenden-3-4 District (currently, the Chittenden 6-4 District) during 2006-2009 and 2011–2017. Christopher Pearson (28 August 1951 – 7 June 2013) was an Australian journalist and conservative commentator who wrote for national broadsheet ''The Australian'' and who for many years before had edited a monthly cultural magazine, '' The Adelaide Review''. Biography Born in Sydney on 28 August 1951, Pearson spent most of his life in Adelaide. He received a Bachelor of Arts with Honours (third-class) from Flinders University as well as a Graduate Diploma in Education from the University of Adelaide. The topic of his honours thesis was Australian author Patrick White. He had left-wing leanings as a student, before becoming an admirer of the social democratic politics of Bob Hawke and Paul Keating. He then moved to the right, voting for John Howard in 1996. As proprietor of the ''Adelaide Review'', he bought the name of the Wakefield Press from the South Australian government and operated the company from 1986 to 1988.
