Christopher Colquhoun
Christopher Colquhoun (born in Carlisle, England) is an English actor who trained at RADA. He is known for appearing as Simon Kaminski in the BBC drama series '' Casualty'', from 2002 to 2004. He also appeared in ''Holby City'' in this role as well. He also played Jake Quinn in ''The Bill'' for two episodes – "An Honour to Serve", parts 1 and 2, and appeared as pathologist Dr Tony Carmichael in the seventh season of '' Vera'', screened during 2017. He played Hector in William Shakespeare's play '' Troilus & Cressida'', which was shown in the 2009 season (until September 20) in Shakespeare's Globe theatre in London. On 4 December 2009 he joined the cast of ''Coronation Street''. In 2014, he played Joff in ''The Believers'' at the Tricycle, London, and Scar in The Lion King (musical) on its UK tour. Carlisle, Cumbria
Carlisle ( , ; from xcb, Caer Luel) is a city that lies within the Northern English county of Cumbria, south of the Scottish border at the confluence of the rivers Eden, Caldew and Petteril. It is the administrative centre of the City of Carlisle district which, (along with Cumbria County Council) will be replaced by Cumberland Council in April 2023. The city became an established settlement during the Roman Empire to serve forts on Hadrian's Wall. During the Middle Ages, the city was an important military stronghold due to its proximity to the Kingdom of Scotland. Carlisle Castle, still relatively intact, was built in 1092 by William Rufus, served as a prison for Mary, Queen of Scots in 1568 and now houses the Duke of Lancaster's Regiment and the Border Regiment Museum. Shakespeare's Globe
Shakespeare's Globe is a reconstruction of the Globe Theatre, an Elizabethan playhouse for which William Shakespeare wrote his plays, in the London Borough of Southwark, on the south bank of the River Thames. The original theatre was built in 1599, destroyed by the fire in 1613, rebuilt in 1614, and then demolished in 1644. The modern Globe Theatre is an academic approximation based on available evidence of the 1599 and 1614 buildings. It is considered quite realistic, though modern safety requirements mean that it accommodates only 1,400 spectators compared to the original theatre's 3,000. The modern ''Shakespeare's Globe'' was founded by the actor and director Sam Wanamaker, and built about from the site of the original theatre in the historic open-air style.
