Christoph Frauenpreiß (born 30 January 1987) is a German politician from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). In the 2025 German federal election, he was the direct candidate in Cuxhaven – Stade II and was elected with 32.7% of the first vote. Frauenpreiß is a father of two, and lives with his wife and children in Altenbruch. Cuxhaven – Stade II is an electoral constituency (German language, German: ''Wahlkreis'') represented in the Bundestag. It elects one member via first-past-the-post voting. Under the current constituency numbering system, it is designated as constituency 29. It is located in northern Lower Saxony, comprising the Cuxhaven (district), Cuxhaven district and the northern part of the Stade (district), Stade district. Cuxhaven
Cuxhaven (; ) is a town and seat of the Cuxhaven district, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The town includes the northernmost point of Lower Saxony. It is situated on the shore of the North Sea at the mouth of the Elbe River. Cuxhaven has a footprint of (east–west) by (north–south). Its town quarters Duhnen, Döse and Sahlenburg are especially popular vacation spots on the North Sea and home to about 52,000 residents. Cuxhaven is home to an important fisherman's wharf and ship registration point for Hamburg as well as the Kiel Canal until 2008. Tourism is also of great importance. The 2025 German federal election was held in Germany on 23 February 2025 to elect the 630 members of the List of members of the 21st Bundestag, 21st Bundestag, down from 736 in 2021 due to reforms in seat distribution.
