Christmas In Connecticut (musical)
''Christmas in Connecticut'' is a musical based on the Warner Bros. 1945 film of the same name that starred Barbara Stanwyck, Dennis Morgan and Sydney Greenstreet. The book is by Patrick Pacheco and Erik Forrest Jackson, with lyrics by Amanda Yesnowitz, and music by Jason Howland. The musical is set in 1942 in New York City, where columnist Elizabeth Sanders takes a job under the pseudonym Liz Lane, writing about married life in the country, a subject she knows nothing about. When her publisher invites a war hero and fan to her fictional farm, she is forced to maintain her charade while hosting the Christmas holiday. Jason Howland
Jason Howland is a musical theatre composer, playwright, conductor, music director, and producer. In 2015, he won the Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album for his work producing the cast recording of ''Beautiful: The Carole King Musical''. He also wrote the music for the Broadway musical ''Little Women (musical), Little Women''. Pioneer Memorial Theatre
The Pioneer Theatre Company (PTC) is one of four professional theatre companies in Utah, and the only fully professional theatre in Salt Lake City, contracting with union members belonging to Actors' Equity Association (AEA), Stage Directors and Choreographers Society (SDC) and United Scenic Artists (USA829). PTC was formed in 1962 and performs at the Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre on the University of Utah campus in Salt Lake City. East Haddam, Connecticut
East Haddam is a town in Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States. The town is part of the Lower Connecticut River Valley Planning Region. The population was 8,875 at the time of the 2020 census. History Until 1650, the area of East Haddam was inhabited by at least three Indigenous peoples: the Wangunk, the Mohegan and the Niantic. The Indigenous nations called the area "Machimoodus", the place of noises, because of numerous earthquakes that were recorded between 1638 and 1899.
