"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" is a pop song originally sung by Darlene Love and included on the 1963 compilation album ''A Christmas Gift for You from Philles Records'' (later renamed ''A Christmas Gift for You from Phil Spector''). The song was written by Ellie Greenwich, Jeff Barry, and Phil Spector. Upon release, the song did not find commercial success, but in later years it has gone on to become a Christmas Standard (music), standard. It charted for the first time on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100 in December 2018 and has since peaked at number 15. Darlene Love
Darlene Wright (born July 26, 1941), also known by the stage name Darlene Love, is an American R&B and soul singer and actress. She was the lead singer of the girl group the Blossoms and also a solo recording artist. She began singing as a child with her local church choir. In 1962, she began recording with producer Phil Spector who renamed her Darlene Love. She sang lead on " He's a Rebel" and " He's Sure the Boy I Love," which were credited to the Crystals. Steven Van Zandt (né Lento; born November 22, 1950), also known as Little Steven or Miami Steve, is an American musician and actor. He is a member of Bruce Springsteen's E Street Band, in which he plays guitar and mandolin. Paul Shaffer and the World's Most Dangerous Band is an American musical ensemble led by Paul Shaffer. It was David Letterman's house band for 33 years. The band formed in 1982 to serve as house band for NBC's ''Late Night with David Letterman''. A house band is a group of musicians, often centrally organized by a band leader, who regularly play at an establishment. It is widely used to refer both to the bands who work on entertainment programs on television or radio, and to bands which are the regular performers at a nightclub, especially jazz and R&B clubs.
