Christián Jaroš
Christián Jaroš (born 2 April 1996) is a Slovak professional ice hockey defenceman for the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL). Jaroš was drafted 139th overall in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft by the Ottawa Senators. Playing career Jaros made his Swedish Hockey League debut playing with Luleå HF during the 2014–15 SHL season. On 30 May 2017, Jaroš was signed to a three-year, entry-level contract by the Ottawa Senators. He made his NHL debut on 10 October, against Vancouver Canucks but spent the rest of the season with their American Hockey League (AHL) team, the Belleville Senators. Despite beginning the 2018–19 season in the AHL, Jaroš was recalled to the NHL and on 21 November 2018, scored his first career NHL goal in a 6–4 loss to the Minnesota Wild. Gagarin Cup
The Gagarin Cup () is the trophy presented to the winner of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) playoffs, and is named after Soviet cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin, the first human in space. The Cup was supposedly named after Gagarin because the last possible game of the inaugural KHL season took place on April 12, the anniversary date of Gagarin's flight. After the end of the KHL's regular season, sixteen teams participate in the playoffs. The round of 16 and quarter-finals were a best-of-five series during the first season, and the semi-finals and finals were a best-of-seven series during the first season. The Utica Comets are a professional ice hockey team based in Utica, New York. They are members of the North Division in the Eastern Conference of the American Hockey League (AHL) and affiliated with the National Hockey League's (NHL) New Jersey Devils. 2021–22 NHL Season
The 2021–22 NHL season was the 105th season of operation (104th season of play) of the National Hockey League (NHL). The league expanded to 32 teams with the addition of the Seattle Kraken. The league had an October-to-April regular season scheduling and a full 82-game regular season for the first time since the 2018–19 NHL season as the previous two NHL seasons were shortened due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The league also restored its pre-COVID-19 Eastern and Western conferences. The season began on October 12. Nicholas Merkley (born May 23, 1997) is a Canadian professional ice hockey right winger currently playing under contract with Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg in the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL). Dylan Gambrell (born August 26, 1996) is an American professional ice hockey center who is currently an unrestricted free agent. He most recently played for the Cleveland Monsters in the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Columbus Blue Jackets of the National Hockey League (NHL).
