Christine Karlsen Alver (born 16 July 2000) is a Norwegian female handball player who plays for Molde Elite. She also represented Norway in the 2017 European Women's U-17 Handball Championship and in the 2019 Women's U-19 European Handball Championship. The 2018–19 Eliteserien is the 52nd season of the Eliteserien, Norway's premier handball league. Team information A total of 12 teams will be participating in the 2018/19 edition of Eliteserien. 9 teams were qualified directly from the 2017/18 season. REMA 1000-ligaen (women's Handball)
REMA 1000-ligaen is the premier women's professional handball league for Norwegian handball clubs. It is administered by the Norwegian Handball Federation, and the winners are recognized as Norwegian champions. It was established in 1968, and it is currently contested by thirteen teams. Larvik HK, which has dominated the competition in recent years, is the championship's most successful team with eighteen titles, followed by IL Vestar and Byåsen IL with nine and five respectively. The league has previously been known as eliteserien, Gildeserien, Postenligaen and GRUNDIGligaen. Handball (also known as team handball, European handball or Olympic handball) is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outcourt players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball using their hands with the aim of throwing it into the goal of the other team. A standard match consists of two periods of 30 minutes, and the team that scores more goals wins. Modern handball is played on a court of , with a goal in the middle of each end. The European Handball Federation (EHF) is the umbrella organisation for European handball. Founded on 17 November 1991, it is made of 50 member federations and two associated federations (England and Scotland), and is headquartered in Vienna, Austria.
