Christina Niederer
Christina Viktoria Niederer (born 15 September 1996 in St. Gallen) is a former Swiss figure skater and dancer with Russian roots. She is the 2007 and 2008 Swiss Junior Champion, the Bronze Medallist of 2009 and the Vice Swiss Champion of 2010 in Latin Dance and Ballroom Dancing. Christina Niederer was a member of the Swiss Olympic Team in Figure Skating. Furthermore, she has the Russian citizenship. After her sports career, Christina Niederer studied business administration in her bachelor's degree and business innovation in her master's degree and graduated from the University of St. Gallen (HSG). Dancesport
Dancesport is competitive ballroom dancing, as contrasted to social or exhibition dancing. In the case of Para dancesport, at least one of the dancers is in a wheelchair. Dancesport events are sanctioned and regulated by dancesport organizations at the national and international level, such as the World DanceSport Federation. The name was invented to help competitive ballroom dancing gain Olympic recognition. The physical demand of dancesport has been the subject of scientific research. History The first unofficial world championship took place in 1909, and the first formation team was presented in 1932 by Olive Ripman at the Astoria Ballroom, London.
