Christiane Lessa
Christiane de Araújo Lessa (born 6 September 1982) is a Brazilian Association football, football Manager (association football), manager and former player who played as a midfielder. She was the head coach of American College soccer in the United States, college soccer team Prairie View A&M Panthers and Lady Panthers, Prairie View A&M. Career Born in Brasília but raised in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro (state), Rio de Janeiro, Lessa represented CR Vasco da Gama (women), Vasco da Gama and Fluminense FC (women), Fluminense's youth setup before playing for Team Chicago Brasil. She subsequently turned down a call up from the Brazil women's national under-17 football team, under-17 national team in order to move to the United States and play college football. In 2002, Lessa was in the roster of Union College (Kentucky), Union College's Union Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs, Lady Bulldogs which qualified for the NAIA Women's Soccer Championship for the first time ever. Brazilian Football Confederation
The Brazilian Football Confederation (, CBF) is the governing body of football in Brazil. It was founded on Monday, 8 June 1914, as , and renamed Confederação Brasileira de Desportos in 1916. The football confederation, as known today, separated from other sports associations on 24 September 1979. The CBF has its headquarters in Rio de Janeiro. The confederation owns a training center, named Granja Comary, located in Teresópolis. It was announced on 29 September 2007, that the CBF would launch a women's league and cup competition in October 2007 following pressure from FIFA president Sepp Blatter during the 2007 FIFA Women's World Cup in China. The confederation reported a budget of $265.6 million ( R$1.5 billion) for 2024, and a projection of $398.4 million (R$2.25 billion) for 2025.
