Christian Suárez
Christian Andrés Suárez Valencia (born November 2, 1985, in Guayaquil) is an Ecuadorian footballer who last played for Guayaquil City F.C., Guayaquil City. Club career Suárez began his career with Deportivo Azogues in the Campeonato Ecuatoriano de Fútbol, Serie A of Ecuador. After his performances with the team, he soon got the attention of many clubs especially Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito, LDU Quito. In 2008, Suárez transferred to LDU Quito as part of the squad who won the 2008 Copa Libertadores, Copa Libertadores. Unfortunately, Suárez had little playing time and was only used as a substitute. In 2009, Suárez joined Centro Deportivo Olmedo, Olmedo. He played regularly for the team as an midfielder, attacking midfielder and set his teammates up to score goals. 2008 Copa Libertadores
The 2008 Copa Libertadores de América was the 49th edition of the Copa Libertadores, CONMEBOL's premier annual international club tournament. This marked the first year the competition was sponsored by Spanish bank Grupo Santander, Santander. As such, the competition is officially the 2008 Copa Santander Libertadores de América for sponsorship reasons. The draw took place on December 19, 2007, in Asunción. Ecuadorian club Liga Deportiva Universitaria de Quito, LDU Quito won the competition for the first time in a final decided on penalties. Liga MX, also known as Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Mexico and the highest level of the Mexican football league system. The CONMEBOL Libertadores, also known as Copa Libertadores de América (), is an annual continental club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 1960. It is the highest level of competition in South American club football.
