Christian Social Responsibility
Christian Social Responsibility (CSR, Kristet Samhällsansvar) was a lobbying, lobby organization that was founded in the mid-1950s in Sweden. The goal of the organisation was to get Christians, Christian politicians placed high up on the voting papers of the Swedish political parties. CSR had a grassroots network of active members across the entire nation and produced their own material. CSR formed the origin of the current Swedish party, the Christian Democrats (Sweden), Christian Democrats. The chairman of the organisation was Centre Party (Sweden), Centre Party voter and bishop Sven Danell. Lewi Pethrus, a pentecostal pastor and later one of the founders of the Christian Democrats (Sweden), Christian Democratic Party was another founder and vice chairman. ''Fokus'' is a Swedish-language weekly news and current affairs magazine. It was founded by Martin Ahlquist, Lars Grafström, Karin Pettersson and Martin Ådahl. Its first publishing was in December 2005. In 2007, it was awarded the Swedish Publicists' Association's grand prize. The magazine publishes 41 issues per year and has a circulation of approximately 31,000. ''Fokus'' is editorially politically unbound. The magazine is owned and published by FPG Media, a Swedish limited company. History ''Fokus'' was founded in 2005 by Martin Ahlquist, Martin Ådahl, Lars Grafström and Karin Pettersson. Christian Democrats (Sweden)
The Christian Democrats ( sv, Kristdemokraterna ; KD) is a Christian-democratic political party in Sweden founded in March 1964. It first entered parliament in 1985, through electoral cooperation with the Centre Party, and in 1991 broke through to win seats by itself. The party leader since 25 April 2015 has been Ebba Busch. She succeeded Göran Hägglund, who had been leader since 2004. The party name was for a long time abbreviated to KDS (standing for , Christian Democratic Unity), until 1996, when the party changed its name to the current ''Christian Democrats'' and its abbreviation to ''KD''. The KD was a minor party in the centre-right Alliance coalition government led by Prime Minister Fredrik Reinfeldt between 2006 and 2014 and later a part of the centre-right opposition until it dissolved in January 2019. It is published in Stockholm and aspires to full national and international coverage, and is widely considered Sweden's newspaper of record. The Centre Party ( sv, Centerpartiet ; C) is a liberal political party in Sweden, founded in 1913. The party's major issues are the national economy, the environment, political decentralisation and social integration. It is represented in all of the Riksdag's parliamentary committees, currently holding 31 seats. From 2019 to 2021, it provided confidence and supply to the Löfven II Cabinet. Traditionally part of the Nordic agrarian party family, the Centre Party has increasingly shifted its focus towards economic liberalism, environmental protection, equality of the sexes and decentralisation of governmental authority. Lewi Pethrus
Lewi Pethrus (born ''Pethrus Lewi Johansson'') (11 March 1884 – 4 September 1974) was a Swedish Pentecostal minister who played a decisive role in the formation and development of the Pentecostal movement in his country. In 1964, he founded the political party the Christian Democrats. Life Pethrus was born in 1884 in Vargön, Västergötland. He held manual jobs from the age of ten, being apprenticed to a shoe factory in 1899. That year, he was baptized in the Baptist church in Vänersborg. After emigrating to Norway in 1900, he became co-pastor of the Arendal Baptist Church in 1902, along with Adolf Mildes. He started speaking in tongues, believed by Pentecostals to be evidence of having received the baptism of the Holy Spirit after a series of meetings in Lillestrand. Birger Ekstedt, (1921–1972), was a Swedish Swedish or ' may refer to: Anything from or related to Sweden, a country in Northern Europe. After losing a battle over the party's manifesto in 1956 he moved on to the cultural assembly of the party and became its secretary.
