Christian Reitz
Christian Reitz (born 29 April 1987) is a German 25 metre rapid fire pistol shooter, the current world record holder. Career He rose to fame during 2005, the first year with the new equipment rules, but was defeated in that year's European Junior Championships by teammate Philipp Wagenitz before finishing his junior career with victories in the 2006 ISSF World Shooting Championships and the 2007 European Championships. In his first year as a senior, Reitz won two World Cup competitions and was the runner-up behind three-time Olympic champion Ralf Schumann at another, equalling the world record with a 591 score in Milan, and raising Schumann's final world record from 790.0 to 794.0. Löbau
Löbau (Upper Sorbian: Lubij) is a city in the east of Saxony, Germany, in the traditional region of Upper Lusatia. It is situated between the slopes of the Löbauer Berg and the fertile hilly area of the Upper Lusatian Mountains. It is the gateway to this volcanic mountainous area and is situated halfway between the cities of Bautzen, Görlitz and Zittau. History Löbau was first mentioned in 1221 as "Oppidum Lubaw". Ralf Schumann (born 10 June 1962) is a former German 25 m rapid fire pistol shooter. He is a three-time Olympic Champion and twice the World Champion. One of the most decorated shooters of the modern era, he is the first of two sport shooters to have won three Olympic gold medals in one individual event (25 metre rapid fire pistol) and became the first of three sport shooters to have won three Olympic individual gold medals. He won the gold medals for the 25 metre rapid fire pistol event at the 1992, 1996 and 2004 Olympics and also won two silver medals at this event, becoming the most successful Olympic shooter at this event. 2009 ISSF World Cup Final (rifle And Pistol)
The 2009 ISSF World Cup Final in rifle and pistol events was scheduled to be held 26–28 October 2009 in Wuxi, China, as the conclusion of the 2009 World Cup season. It will be the first time the final is held in China. There are ten spots in each of the ten events. The defending champion from the 2008 World Cup Final and the reigning Olympic champions qualify automatically. The remaining eight qualify through a special point-awarding system based on their best performance during the World Cup season, skipping past automatic qualifiers. Not counting the defending and Olympic champions, there will be a maximum of two shooters per event from the same country.
