Christian Friedel
Christian Friedel (born 9 March 1979) is a German actor and singer. Having acted in a number of German language productions, he is best known internationally as the teacher in Michael Haneke's ''The White Ribbon'' (2009), as part of the main cast of the Netflix television thriller series ''Babylon Berlin'' (2017–present), as Rudolf Höss in the 2023 drama The Zone of Interest (film), ''The Zone of Interest'' and as Fabian in season three of the anthology series ''The White Lotus'' (2025). 75th Berlin International Film Festival
The 75th annual Berlin International Film Festival, usually called the Berlinale, took place between 13 and 23 February 2025 in Berlin, Germany. Polarkreis 18 was a German rock band from Dresden, Saxony. The bandmembers met at school, where they formed the Jack of all Trades ensemble in 1998. In 2004, they renamed their band ''Polarkreis 18''. Its musical style can be described as rock, synth-pop and indietronic. Their albums include ''Polarkreis 18'' and more recently ''The Colour of Snow''. Their single "Allein, Allein" (Alone Alone) reached the number one position on the German Media Control Top100 Singles chart from 31 October 2008 to 4 December 2008 for 5 consecutive weeks and another 8 weeks on position number 2. The is a theatre building and company in Düsseldorf. The present building with two major auditoria was designed by the architect and built between 1965 and 1969. It opened in 1970. History The theatre dates back to 1747 when during the reign of elector Karl Theodor the ''Gießhaus'' was transformed to a theatre. In 1818 Friedrich Wilhelm II donated this building to the city of Düsseldorf. Josef Derossi was its first director, succeeded in 1834 by the poet Karl Leberecht Immermann. In 1905 a house dedicated to plays was opened by Louise Dumont and Gustav Lindemann who brought the house to fame. After World War II Wolfgang Langhoff was the first director, succeeded in 1946 by Gustaf Gründgens. His directions made the house one of the most important stages in Europe. Johann Christoph Friedrich von Schiller (, short: ; 10 November 17599 May 1805) was a German playwright, poet, philosopher and historian. Schiller is considered by most Germans to be Germany's most important classical playwright. He was born in Marbach to a devoutly Protestant family.
