Christian Dibble
Christian Dibble (born 11 May 1994) is a Welsh professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for National League club Kidderminster Harriers. Early and personal life Dibble was born in Wilmslow, England. His father is Welsh former footballer Andy Dibble who played for Manchester City. The Dibble family are all Manchester City supporters. Club career Dibble has played for Bury, Barnsley, Stockport County, Nuneaton Town, Chelmsford City, Boston United, Chorley and Wrexham. Throughout his Wrexham career Dibble has served as backup to first-choice goalkeeper Rob Lainton, speaking about it in July 2018, January 2019, April 2019, and again in April 2021. In August 2019 he was said by local media to have "impressed after being handed starting role", and in October 2021 he was praised by Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson after appearing as a substitute after 13 minutes in a match, following a head injury to Lainton. Wilmslow ( ) is a market town and civil parish in the unitary authority of Cheshire East in Cheshire, England, south of Manchester city centre. The population was 24,497 at the 2011 Census. History Toponymy Wilmslow derives its name from Old English ''Wīghelmes hlāw'' = "mound of a man called Wīghelm." Lindow Man Much about the local Iron Age history of Wilmslow was uncovered with the discovery of Lindow Man, in Lindow Moss. Preserved in the peat bogs for 2,000 years, Lindow Man is one of the most important Iron Age finds in the country. Despite a campaign to keep Lindow Man in the area, he was transferred to the British Museum and is a central feature of the Iron Age exhibition. Andrew Gerald Dibble (born 8 May 1965) is a Welsh football coach and former professional player. As a player, he was as a goalkeeper from 1982 to 2006. During his career he played in the Premier League for Manchester City and in the Scottish Premier Division for Aberdeen and Rangers. He also played in the Football League for Cardiff City, Luton Town, Huddersfield Town, Sunderland, Middlesbrough, Bolton Wanderers, West Bromwich Albion, Sheffield United, Hartlepool United, Carlisle United, Stockport County and Wrexham.
