Christian Democracy for Autonomies (, DCA) was a minor Christian-democratic political party in Italy, led by Gianfranco Rotondi. Later incarnations of the party, also led by Rotondi, include Christian Revolution, Green is Popular and Christian Democracy with Rotondi. History DCA was founded on 25 October 2004 by a split from the Union of Christian and Centre Democrats (UDC) led by Gianfranco Rotondi, who wanted closer ties with Silvio Berlusconi's Forza Italia and who criticised the political line of the then-leader of UDC Marco Follini. The party became part of the centre-right coalition following its foundation. The party was part of the House of Freedoms coalition in the 2006 general election, competing the election in an electoral list with the New Italian Socialist Party. The joint list gained 0.7% of the votes and, despite not having passed the 2% threshold, it still elected four deputies since it was the party which received more votes under the 2% in its coalition. ... Gianfranco Rotondi
Gianfranco Rotondi (born 25 July 1960) is an Italian politician. A member of the Italian Parliament since 1994, he was a member of the Chamber of Deputies from 1994 to 1996, from 2001 to 2006, and since 2008, as well as a member of the Senate of the Republic from 2006 to 2008. He was also a Minister without Portfolio for the Implementation of the Government Program in the fourth Berlusconi government from 2008 to 2011. Career Born in Avellino, Rotondi graduated in law. A journalist by profession, Rotondi was elected to the Regional Council of Campania in 1990 for Christian Democracy (DC). Publio Fiori (25 March 1938 – 16 July 2024) was an Italian politician. He was born in Rome and graduated in law. He became a member of Christian Democracy, to which he belonged for much of his political career. In 1977, a commando of Brigate Rosse (communist terrorists) shot him in the legs and thorax. Fiori is often included in the list of those belonging to Propaganda Due (P2), a Masonic lodge operating illegally (in contravention of the Italian constitution banning secret lodges, and membership of government officials in secret membership organizations) from 1976 to 1981. Carlo Amedeo Giovanardi (born 15 January 1950) is an Italian politician. He is a former member of the Senate of the Republic and leader of the socially conservative wing of the New Centre-Right party.
