Chrissy McKaigue
Christopher McKaigue (born 13 July 1989) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Derry county team. McKaigue plays club football and hurling for Slaughtneil Robert Emmet's. He is a defender in football and a half forward in hurling. He has represented Ireland in the International Rules Series. Personal life McKaigue is from Slaughtneil. He went to secondary school at St Patrick's College, Maghera. McKaigue also worked Gaelcholáiste Dhoire as a Physical Education teacher and is a Gaeilge learner. Football career Club McKaigue has won numerous senior titles in both codes with Slaughtneil. In hurling he has won the Derry Senior Hurling Championship nine times and the Ulster Senior Club Hurling Championship four times. In football he is the holder of five Derry Senior Football Championships and three Ulster Senior Club Football Championships. Derry, officially Londonderry, is the second-largest City status in the United Kingdom, city in Northern Ireland, and the fifth-largest on the island of Ireland. Australia International Rules Football Team
The Australia international rules football team is Australia's senior representative team in International rules football, a hybrid sport derived from Australian rules football and Gaelic football. The current team is solely made up of players from the Australian Football League. Although Australian rules football is played around the world at an amateur level, Australia is considered far too strong to compete against at senior level. Hence, selection in the Australian international rules team is the only opportunity that Australian rules footballers have to represent their country. Ulster Senior Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Football Championship is an inter-county competition for Gaelic football teams in the Irish province of Ulster. It is organised by the Ulster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and begins in April. The final is played in May, but, traditionally, was usually played on the third Sunday in July. All nine Ulster counties participate. It is regarded as hardest to win of the four provincial football championships. At a referee conference in January 2015, David Coldrick said about officiating in the competition: "Ulster makes or breaks you. It can be a graveyard. The games are different. The National Football League (NFL; ) is an annual Gaelic football competition between the senior county teams of Ireland plus London. Sponsored by Allianz, it is officially known as the Allianz National Football League. The Gaelic Athletic Association organises the league. The winning team receives the New Ireland Cup, presented by the New Ireland Assurance Company. The Dr McKenna Cup is an annual Gaelic football competition played between Counties of Ireland, counties and List of universities in Northern Ireland, universities in the province of Ulster GAA, Ulster.
