Chrisna Bootha
Chrisna van Zyl (née Bootha; born 10 August 1983) is a South African netball player. Van Zyl plays in the positions of Goal Shooter (GS) and Goal Attack (GA). She is a member of the South Africa national netball team and has competed in the 2010 Commonwealth Games in Delhi and the 2011 World Netball Championships in Singapore, among many other tournaments. She has also participated in the 2010 World Netball Series and the 2011 World Netball Series, both held in Liverpool, UK. In October 2012, she travelled with the Proteas to participate in the 2012 Netball Quad Series. Fast5 Netball World Series
The Fast5 Netball World Series is an annual international Fast5 netball competition. The competition, which began in October 2009, features modified Fast5 rules, and has been likened to Twenty20 cricket and rugby sevens. The competition is contested by the six top national netball teams in the world, according to the INF World Rankings. Background Before 2008, the major competitions in international netball were the quadrennial Netball World Championships (renamed Netball World Cup in 2015) and the netball event of the quadrennial Commonwealth Games. The 2012 Netball Quad Series was the inaugural Netball Quad Series series. It was co-hosted by Netball Australia and Netball New Zealand. It featured Australia national netball team, Australia, England national netball team, England, New Zealand national netball team, New Zealand and South Africa national netball team, South Africa playing each other in a series of twelve Test match (netball), netball test matches in October and November 2012. The series featured six double headers with three played in Australia and three played in New Zealand. The 2012 Fast5 Netball World Series was the 4th Fast5 Netball World Series. New Zealand hosted Australia, England, Jamaica, Malawi and South Africa in a series, played in November 2012, at Auckland's Vector Arena. With a team coached by Waimarama Taumaunu and captained by Laura Langman, New Zealand won the series for the third time after defeating England 23–21 in the final.
