Chris Walden Big Band
The Chris Walden Big Band is a Grammy-nominated 18-piece jazz big band based in Los Angeles, California, founded in 1999 by German composer and arranger Chris Walden. The band consists of Los Angeles–based studio musicians who suggested to Walden he should form his own band, after having played his music for various projects in studios. The band exclusively plays Walden's own material, which consists of his own compositions or his contemporary arrangements of jazz tunes or film themes. Vocalists who have appeared frequently with the Chris Walden Big Band are Tierney Sutton, Carol Welsman, and Courtney Fortune. The band frequently plays in and around Los Angeles. Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, with its roots in blues and ragtime. Kye Palmer
Kye Palmer is a trumpet player who is a Los Angeles studio musician, most notable as a former member of The Tonight Show Band from 2006 to 2009. On April 10, 2006, Palmer replaced Lee Thornburg in The Tonight Show Band and was there for the last part of Kevin Eubanks's tenure with ''The Tonight Show''. He has recorded on several Grammy Award nominated or winning projects over the past 20 years. Bob McChesney is an LA based jazz and studio trombonist, famous for his use and mastery of the 'doodle - tongue,' a method of articulation on the trombone as well as his ultra fast and melodic solos. Wayne Bergeron
Wayne Bergeron (born January 16, 1958) is an American jazz trumpeter. Bergeron rose to prominence as a member of Maynard Ferguson's band in the 1980s. Since then, he has worked on over 400 TV and motion picture soundtracks. As a lead and studio player, he is notable for his ability in the upper register of the instrument, as in his screaming trumpet work in the soundtrack for the 2004 Disney/Pixar animated movie ''The Incredibles''. Bergeron is on faculty at the Los Angeles College of Music and is principal trumpet for the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood.
