Chris Tilley (marksman)
Michael Christopher Tilley (born May 6, 1985, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is a professional shooter and USPSA Grand Master. He is also known for competing in the second season of History Channel's marksmen competition ''Top Shot''. Biography Tilley was born on May 6, 1985, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. He exhibited fascination and skill with firearms from a very young age. When he was eleven years old, his father built an indoor shooting range in Raleigh, North Carolina, affording Chris the opportunity to train and immerse himself. A year later, Tilley started competing at matches hosted by the IPSC and IDPA. Tilley mentions one of his father's first employees, a former Marine named Cazz, as a significant influence in his sport shooting career. Cazz brought Tilley to his first IPSC match, drawing him further into competitive shooting. 2011 IPSC Handgun World Shoot
The 2011 IPSC Handgun World Shoot XVI held at Rhodes, Greece was the 16th IPSC Handgun World Shoot. There were 30 stages which all had a Greek theme. Champions Open ;Individual: The Open division had the second largest match participation with 373 competitors (30.9 %), and was won by Eric Grauffel from France winning his 5th consecutive Handgun World Shoot. The International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), founded in 1996, is an organization based in Bogata, Texas, that has created a shooting sport based on defensive pistol techniques, using equipment including full-charge service ammunition to solve simulated "real world" self-defense scenarios. A shooting range, firing range, gun range or shooting ground is a specialized facility, venue or field designed specifically for firearm usage qualifications, training, practice or competitions. The second season of the History Channel television series '' Top Shot'', titled ''Top Shot Reloaded'' commenced airing on February 8, 2011, and concluded on April 26, 2011. The season contained twelve episodes, and was filmed over a period of 35 days in the fall of 2010 in Santa Clarita, California. The winner of the season was American Chris Reed. Chris Reed later appeared as a coach in Seasons 3 and 4; George Reinas also appeared as a coach in Seasons 4 and 5. Brian Zins, Joe Serafini, and Jamie Franks returned for '' Top Shot: All-Stars''. United States Practical Shooting Association
The United States Practical Shooting Association (USPSA) is the national governing body of practical shooting in the United States under the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC). Its over 35,000 active members and over 500 affiliated clubs make USPSA the largest practical shooting organization in the United States and the second largest region within IPSC after the Russian Federation of Practical Shooting.
