Chris Millington
Chris Millington (born 8 September 1975) is an English football coach. He was most recently the manager of club FC Halifax Town. Coaching career Millington played as a midfielder as a youngster, including a spell at Manchester City, but did not have a professional playing career. He then began his coaching career at Altrincham U18s before working at a number of clubs at both youth and first team level, including Curzon Ashton, Macclesfield and Stockport County. He then worked with Pete Wild in the Oldham Athletic academy after meeting whilst studying together for their UEFA A License. Millington was then appointed his assistant during Wild's two caretaker spells of the first team. In July 2019, Wild was named as the new first team manager of FC Halifax Town. The 2022–23 FA Trophy (known for sponsorship reasons as the Isuzu FA Trophy) was the 54th season of the FA Trophy, an annual football competition for teams at levels 5–8 of the English football league system. Eligibility Applications to enter the 54th edition of the FA Trophy opened on 25 February 2022 and closed 1 April 2022. Competition is open to the 320 clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system. All but Guernsey F.C. FA Trophy
The Football Association Challenge Trophy, also known as the Isuzu FA Trophy for sponsorship reasons, is a men's football knockout cup competition run by and named after The Football Association (the FA) and competed by mainly National League teams. The competition was introduced in 1969. Eligibility rules have changed over time, but from 2008 onwards the competition has been open to clubs playing in Steps 1–4 of the National League System, equivalent to tiers 5–8 of the overall English football league system. This covers the National League, the Southern League, Isthmian League, and Northern Premier League. Solihull ( ) is a market town and the administrative centre of the Metropolitan Borough of Solihull, in the West Midlands, England. 2023 FA Trophy Final
The 2023 FA Trophy final was an association football match played at Wembley Stadium, London, on 21 May 2023. It was contested between FC Halifax Town and Gateshead. It was Halifax's second final following their victory in 2016 which was their only previous visit to the national stadium, and Gateshead's first FA Trophy final and first visit to Wembley since 2014. Halifax defeated Gateshead 1–0 to win their second title. FC Halifax Town defeated Guiseley, Harrow Borough, Maidenhead United, Aldershot Town, and Altrincham en route to the final. Gateshead defeated Gloucester City, Oldham Athletic, Banbury United, Farsley Celtic and Barnet en route to the final. The 2022–23 National League season, known as the Vanarama National League for sponsorship reasons, was the eighth season under English football's new title of the National League, the nineteenth season consisting of three divisions, and the forty-fourth season overall. This season saw the expansion of North and South divisions to 24 teams each, a planned increase which was originally scheduled in 2019 to occur ahead of the 2021–22 season. However, after the curtailment and voidance of the 2020–21 season for both North and South, promotion and relegation were postponed.
