Chris Le Lievre (born 1985) is a New Zealand international lawn bowler. Career In 2009, Le Lievre was selected for the New Zealand under-25 side to face Australia in the Trans-Tasman Test Series. He has won two gold medals in the fours (2008) and pairs (2011) at the New Zealand National Bowls Championships. In 2022, Le Lievre was a reserve for the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham. In 2023, he was selected as part of the team to represent New Zealand at the 2023 World Outdoor Bowls Championship. He participated in the men's triples and the men's fours events. Bowls
Bowls, also known as lawn bowls or lawn bowling, is a sport in which players try to roll their ball (called a bowl) closest to a smaller ball (known as a "jack" or sometimes a "kitty"). The bowls are shaped (biased), so that they follow a curved path when being rolled. The game is played either in teams or one against one. The game was first played in the 13th century. The game is played on grass, although other surfaces are sometimes used. Matches are held either until one player gets to a score, or when a number of ''ends'' are played. The game is mostly played on a bowling green, which can vary by the type of bowls being played. The 2023 World Outdoor Bowls Championship – Men's triples will be the 14th edition of the World Championships to be held on the Gold Coast, Queensland, Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia from 29 August to 10 September. Tony Grantham (born 30 December 1972) is a New Zealand international lawn and indoor bowler. Bowls career Grantham from Whanganui, in New Zealand won the singles at the New Zealand National Bowls Championships, which qualified him to play in the 2007 World Singles Champion of Champions event. He won the gold medal in the event beating Will James of Swaziland in the final. He won two medals at the 2011 Asia Pacific Bowls Championships in Adelaide. One year later he then won a bronze medal in the triples at the 2012 World Outdoor Bowls Championship in Adelaide.
