Chris Klein (born January 4, 1976) is an American former soccer player who spent 13 seasons in Major League Soccer and earned 22 caps with the United States men's national soccer team. He became the club president of the LA Galaxy on January 28, 2013, after a promotion from vice president. Klein was fired from the LA Galaxy on May 30, 2023, after 11 seasons with the club. A former midfielder, Klein spent the entirety of his 12-year professional career playing in Major League Soccer, for the Kansas City Wizards, Real Salt Lake and Los Angeles Galaxy, winning the MLS Cup and Supporters' Shield with Kansas City in 2000, and the Supporters' Shield with Los Angeles in 2010, his last year as a professional. He was notable for his fitness and resilience to injury, setting an MLS record in 2008 when he made his 118th consecutive first team start. Christopher Klein is a British visual artist based in Quebec, best known for his richly colored, hyperrealistic paintings portraying original scenic costumes from theatrical plays, films, and period collections. His ''oeuvre'' was described as "a poetics of observation as a repeated and prolonged meditation on these beautiful fabrics, folds, pleats and colours". Chris Cline (July 5, 1958 – July 4, 2019) was an American coal baron and philanthropist. He had been the majority owner of Foresight Reserves LP, headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. Regarded by Bloomberg as the "New King Coal", Cline was considered to have been responsible for reviving the Illinois coal industry.
