Chris Hollins (broadcaster)
Christopher Jonathan Hollins (born 20 March 1971) is an English journalist, presenter and TV personality. Hollins is best known for being the sports correspondent for ''BBC Breakfast'' until 2012 and for winning ''Strictly Come Dancing'' 2009. Hollins presented the BBC consumer rights series ''Watchdog'' from 2010 until 2015. Early life Hollins was born into a footballing family in Bromley, south London. His father was John Hollins, the former Chelsea, Arsenal, Queens Park Rangers and England footballer. His uncle David was a goalkeeper and played for Newcastle United as well as Wales, winning eleven caps. Hollins was educated at Bickley Park School in Bromley and Tonbridge School. He graduated from Durham University in 1993 with a degree in history and sociology and a special diploma in social sciences from Keble College, Oxford in 1994. Findmypast is a UK-based online genealogy service owned, since 2007, by British company DC Thomson. The website hosts billions of searchable records of census, directory and historical record information. It originated in 1965 when a group of genealogists formed a group named "Title Research". The first internet website went live in 2003. As of 2018, Findmypast has partnered with many other genealogical organisations and hosts much of their data. Queens Park Rangers Football Club, commonly abbreviated to QPR, is a professional association football club based in Shepherd's Bush, West London, England. The team currently compete in the EFL Championship, the second level of the English football league system. Keble College () is one of the Colleges of the University of Oxford, constituent colleges of the University of Oxford in England. Its main buildings are on Parks Road, opposite the Oxford University Museum of Natural History, University Museum and the Oxford University Parks, University Parks. Tonbridge School
Tonbridge School is a public school (English fee-charging boarding and day school for boys aged 13–18) in Tonbridge, Kent, England, founded in 1553 by Sir Andrew Judde (sometimes spelt Judd). It is a member of the Eton Group and has close links with the Worshipful Company of Skinners, one of the oldest London livery companies. David Michael Hollins (born 4 February 1938) is a Welsh former footballer who played at both professional and international levels as a goalkeeper. Personal life Hollins was born in Bangor, Wales. He is the older brother of former England international footballer John Hollins, and the uncle of TV presenter Chris Hollins. Following the end of his playing career he became a painter and decorator, and later lived in Guildford. Career Professional career Hollins began his career with local non-league side Merrow, and played in the English Football League for Brighton & Hove Albion, Newcastle United and Mansfield Town.
