Chris Greaves (cricketer)
Christopher Nicholas Greaves (born 12 October 1990) is a South African cricketer who plays for the Scotland national cricket team. He made his international debut in 2021 and plays as a right-arm leg spin bowler. Personal life Greaves was born on 12 October 1990 in South Africa. He moved to Scotland in 2011, qualifying to play for Scotland by residency. Prior to making the national team he worked as an Amazon delivery driver. Domestic career Greaves grew up playing club cricket in Randburg, South Africa. After moving to Scotland he played for Glenrothes Cricket Club and Forfarshire Cricket Club. He also played for Gloucestershire in England's Second XI Championship in 2019. International career Greaves was included in the extended Scottish national squad in 2018 and was named in the team for the 2019 Oman Quadrangular Series, although he did not play a game. Leg Break
Leg spin is a type of spin bowling in cricket. A leg spinner bowls right-arm with a wrist spin action. The leg spinner's normal delivery causes the ball to spin from right to left (from the bowler's perspective) when the ball bounces on the pitch. For a right-handed batsman, that is away from the leg side, and this is where it gets the name leg break. Leg spinners bowl mostly leg breaks, varying them by adjusting the line and length, and amount of side spin versus topspin of the deliveries. Leg spinners also typically use variations of flight by sometimes looping the ball in the air, allowing any cross-breeze and the aerodynamic effects of the spinning ball to cause the ball to dip and drift before bouncing and spinning or "turning", sharply. The Ireland Wolves (formally Ireland A) is a national cricket team representing Ireland. It is the second tier of international Irish cricket, below the full Ireland national cricket team. Matches played by Ireland Wolves are not considered to be One-Day Internationals, instead receiving first-class and List A classification. Their first match was against the Bangladesh A cricket team in October 2017 when they toured Bangladesh to play one first-class match at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Sylhet, and five List A matches at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium Academy Ground, Cox's Bazar. The United States national cricket team is the team that represents the United States in international cricket. The team was formerly organised by the United States of America Cricket Association (USACA), which became an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1965. In June 2017, the USACA was expelled by the ICC due to governance and financing issues, with the U.S. team being temporarily overseen by ICC Americas until a new sanctioning body was established. The 2021 ICC Men's T20 World Cup was the seventh ICC Men's T20 World Cup tournament, with the matches played in the United Arab Emirates and Oman from 17 October to 14 November 2021.
