Chris Garrett (born June 12, 1998) is an American professional football player who is a linebacker for the St. Louis Battlehawks of the United Football League (UFL). He played college football at Concordia–St. Paul and was selected by the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL) in the seventh round of the 2021 NFL draft. Professional career Los Angeles Rams Garrett was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the seventh round, 252nd overall, of the 2021 NFL draft. On May 16, 2021, Garrett signed his four-year rookie contract with Los Angeles. Garrett won his first Super Bowl ring when the Rams defeated the Cincinnati Bengals in Super Bowl LVI. Linebacker (LB) is a playing position in gridiron football. Linebackers are members of the defensive team, and typically line up three to five yards behind the line of scrimmage and so back up the defensive linemen. They play closer to the line of scrimmage than the defensive backs (secondary). The Houston Roughnecks are a professional American football team based in Houston, Texas. The Roughnecks compete in the United Football League (UFL) as a member of the USFL Conference. The team is owned-and-operated by Dwayne Johnson's Alpha Acquico and Fox Corporation. The team was a founding member of the USFL, as the Houston Gamblers in 2022, named after the 1980s USFL team of the same name. The United States Football League (USFL) was a professional American football league that played for three seasons, 1983 through 1985. The league played a spring/summer schedule in each of its active seasons. The 1986 season was scheduled to be played in the autumn/winter, directly competing against the long-established National Football League (NFL).
