Chris Dednam
Christoffel Cornelius Dednam (born 8 August 1983) is a badminton player from South Africa. Dednam was the gold medallists at the Badminton at the 2003 All-Africa Games, 2003 All-Africa Games in the mixed doubles event, and in Badminton at the 2007 All-Africa Games, 2007 in the men's doubles event. He competed at the badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics, 2004, badminton at the 2008 Summer Olympics, 2008 Olympic Games, and at the badminton at the 2006 Commonwealth Games, 2006 Commonwealth Games. Dednam played badminton at the 2004 Summer Olympics in men's singles, losing in the round of 32 to Boonsak Ponsana of Thailand. He also competed in mixed doubles with partner Antoinette Uys. Khan Bob Malaythong
Khan "Bob" Malaythong (born 10 April 1981 in Vientiane, Laos) is an American badminton player. He qualified for the U.S. badminton team as a doubles competitor at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Malaythong moved to the United States at age 8. Malaythong teamed with Howard Bach in the men's doubles. Malaythong graduated from William Jefferson Palmer High School in Colorado Springs, Colorado and Santa Ana College. Malaythong portrayed a Chinese badminton player in a Vitamin Water commercial starring David Ortiz and Brian Urlacher. Bob Malaythong won the U.S. National Badminton Championships six times in the men's doubles event, in partnership with Tony Gunawan in 2003 and with Howard Bach in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 & 2009. He also won one mixed doubles National title with Mesinee Mangkalakiri in 2005. Howard Bach
Howard Bach (born February 22, 1979) is a Vietnamese-American male badminton player from the United States. He was the 2005 world champion in the men's doubles with Tony Gunawan. Early life He was born in Vietnam, Howard Bach came to the U.S. at the age of two, when his father, Cam Sen Bach, emigrated to San Francisco with his family in 1982. From 1991–1993, he attended Marina Middle School in San Francisco. When he was five years old, Howard Bach was brought by his father to the Golden Gate YMCA in San Francisco's Tenderloin District. It was here that over the next 11 years, Howard Bach would be coached by his father in badminton. Bach was a 16-year-old student at Galileo High School when he decided to dedicate himself to the sport of badminton. During his early years, he was also coached and mentored by USA coach of the year, Dick Ng. At age 16, he moved to Colorado Springs to train at the U.S. Olympic Site. Boonsak Ponsana (; ; born 22 February 1982) is a Thai badminton player. His younger sister Salakjit Ponsana is also part of the Thailand badminton team.
