Chris Brooks (running Back)
Christopher Brooks (born Brown, January 11, 2000) is an American professional football running back for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the California Golden Bears and BYU Cougars. Early life and career Brooks is the son of Christopher Brown Sr and Raquel Brooks. Brooks attended El Camino High School in Oceanside, California. He was a four-star recruit according to 247Sports and the 12th best running back in the state of California. During high school, he was also a member of the school's track and field team, qualifying for the California State Meet in the long jump as a 2018 senior. 2018 Cheez-It Bowl
The 2018 Cheez-It Bowl was a college football bowl game played on December 26, 2018, at Chase Field in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. The game was the 30th annual playing of the Cheez-It Bowl and the first played under that name. It featured the California Golden Bears from the Pac-12 Conference and the TCU Horned Frogs from the Big 12 Conference in the teams' first meeting. The game began at 7:00 p.m. MST and was broadcast on ESPN. It was one of the 2018–19 bowl games concluding the 2018 FBS football season. TCU defeated California, 10–7, to win the game in overtime. The 2020 California Golden Bears football team represented the University of California, Berkeley during the 2020 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The team was led by head coach Justin Wilcox, in his fourth year as head coach. The team's offense was led by Bill Musgrave, who replaced Beau Baldwin; Baldwin left to become the head coach at Cal Poly. On August 11, 2020, the Pac-12 Conference canceled all Fall 2020 sports competitions due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2019 California Golden Bears football team represented the University of California, Berkeley in the 2019 NCAA Division I FBS football season. They competed as members of the North Division of the Pac-12 Conference. In their third year under head coach Justin Wilcox, the Bears improved to an 8–5 record for only the second time since 2009, finishing 2nd in the Pac-12 North. The Bears started off the season strong, achieving a No. 15 AP ranking (their highest since 2009) after a 4–0 start, including a 20–19 upset win against No. 14 ranked Washington. However, after injury to quarterback Chase Garbers during the Arizona State game, the Bears proceeded to lose the next four games. The 2018 California Golden Bears football team represented the University of California, Berkeley in the 2018 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Bears went 7–6 during Justin Wilcox's second year as head coach. The Bears upset #15 Washington 12–10 and defeated USC 15–14 at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles to snap a 15-year losing streak to the Trojans, but at the same time, they also snapped a 18-year losing streak to USC in the Coliseum. They lost 10–7 in overtime to TCU in the 2018 Cheez-It Bowl. Cal's offensive efficiency ranked as the second worst among all Power Five teams. ''The Universe'' (formerly ''The Daily Universe'') is the official student newspaper for Brigham Young University (BYU) and was started in 1956. History BYU's student-published newspaper was first titled ''White and Blue'' (1898–1921), later becoming the ''Y News'' (1921–1948). In 1948, the title was changed to the ''Brigham Young Universe'' (1948–1956), and in 1956 this was updated to simply ''The Daily Universe''. 2023 Hula Bowl
The 2023 Hula Bowl was a postseason college football all-star game played on January 14, 2023, with kickoff at 12:00 noon EST, at FBC Mortgage Stadium in Orlando, Florida. It was the first all-star contest of the 2022–23 bowl games and, while not restricted to FBS players, one of the final games of the 2022 FBS football season. Television coverage was provided by CBS Sports Network. This was the second playing of the Hula Bowl outside of Hawaii, due to Aloha Stadium near Honolulu being closed for renovations. The game rostered players into Aina and Kai teams, the words for land and sea in the Hawaiian language.
