Chris Bosse
Chris Bosse is a German-born architect, resident in Sydney in Australia. He was a designer of the Beijing National Aquatics Centre, which was built for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Life Chris Bosse was born on 30 September 1971 in Stuttgart to an architect named Wolfgang Bosse. His brother Jan Bosse became a theater director while Bosse followed in his father's footsteps and studied architecture, first in Berlin and Cologne and later aEPFLin Lausanne. Shortly after his studies he moved to Sydney and started working as an associate architect foPTW where he was one of the leading designers of the Beijing National Aquatics Centre that was built for the 2008 Summer Olympics. Masdar City ( ar, مدينة مصدر, Madīnat Maṣdar, lit=Source City) is a planned city project in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. Its core is being built by Masdar, a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company, with the majority of seed capital provided by the Government of Abu Dhabi. Designed by the British architectural firm Foster and Partners, the city relies on solar energy and other renewable energy sources. Masdar City is being constructed east-south-east of the city of Abu Dhabi, a five minute drive from Abu Dhabi International Airport and 40 minutes from Dubai. Laboratory for Visionary Architecture (LAVA) is an international think tank set up in 2007 with a focus on research and design.
