Chris Bloore
Christopher James Bloore is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Redditch since 4 July 2024. Political career Bloore was previously a member of Worcestershire County Council, representing Bromsgrove South; he resigned midway through his term after his election in 2017 to work in Toronto, Canada; his resignation triggered a by-election which was won by the Conservative Party, with Labour finishing fourth. Bloore was selected as the parliamentary candidate for Redditch in February 2024. During the election campaign, it was reported that Bloore has deleted his online employment history. Bloore's local party website describes him as a "business leader". The Redditch Advertiser notes that he previously worked in Canada as the Chief Executive Officer of a provincial tourism trade association. Redditch is a constituency in Worcestershire, England, represented in the House of Commons since 2017 by Rachel Maclean of the Conservative Party, who is currently a minister in the Home Office. Rachel Helen Maclean (née Cooke; born 3 October 1965) is a Conservative Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament for Redditch in Worcestershire since 2017 and current Conservative Party Vice Chairman. She served as the Minister of State for Victims and Vulnerability from September to October 2022. Maclean served as Parliamentary Private Secretary (PPS) to the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Sajid Javid, from September 2019 until February 2020. She was appointed Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport in February 2020, then Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Safeguarding from September 2021 until July 2022. Bromsgrove
Bromsgrove is a town in Worcestershire, England, about northeast of Worcester and southwest of Birmingham city centre. It had a population of 29,237 in 2001 (39,644 in the wider Bromsgrove/Catshill urban area). Bromsgrove is the main town in the larger Bromsgrove District. In the Middle Ages it was a small market town; primarily producing cloth through the early modern period. In the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries it became a major centre for nail making. Worcestershire ( , ; written abbreviation: Worcs) is a county in the West Midlands of England.
