Chris Angel (wrestler)
Chris Angel (born December 2, 1982) is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler. In 2010, he joined the International Wrestling Association, becoming the only local wrestler to win the IWA Intercontinental Championship in his debut and first to win the IWA Undisputed World Heavyweight Championship undefeated. With this victory, he became the first man to win a world heavyweight championship unpinned within the major local promotions (IWA, World Wrestling Council or Enterteinment Wrestling Organization). His fifteen-month winning streak is the longest in the history of the IWA, surpassing the previous record held by "The Cyber Viking" Al Barone, which was stopped at nine months. Outside of performing, Angel is the only wrestler to be voted "Rookie of the Year" by the public after only a single official match in one of the major promotions in Puerto Rico. IWA Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship
The IWA Intercontinental Championship is a secondary professional wrestling Championship (professional wrestling), title defended in Puerto Rico. It was originally defended in the original International Wrestling Association (Puerto Rico), International Wrestling Association, later being reintroduced in the World Wrestling League (WWL). The title was used since 2002, when Super Crazy became the first champion, defeating Eddie Guerrero at the very first Ring of Honor event, ''The Era of Honor Begins'', in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The championship was modified in 2009, changing the original black belt to another colored red. Gilberto Cruz (born November 12, 1976), better known as Gilbert, is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler and former baseball umpire. He debuted in the International Wrestling Association, where he won the first two championships of his career. Jonathan Ayala Quiñones (born March 3, 1992) is a Puerto Rican professional wrestler, best known by his ring names Diego de Jesús, Sebastián Guerra and ATLAS.
