Bobby Chouinard
Robert William Chouinard (born May 1, 1972) is a Filipino-American former Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher. He was the first person born in the Philippines to play Major League Baseball since Claudio Manela in 1925 (and the first to play after integration). Chouinard played high school baseball at Forest Grove High School in Forest Grove, Oregon. Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the fifth round of the 1990 MLB amateur draft, Chouinard made his Major League Baseball debut with the Oakland Athletics on May 26, 1996, and appeared in his final major league game on September 9, 2001, with the Colorado Rockies. He was traded from the Orioles to the Athletics along with Allen Plaster on January 15, 1993, for Harold Baines. Chouinard was arrested on Christmas Day in 1999 following an incident in which he held a loaded gun to his wife's head and made her beg for her life. Guy Chouinard
Guy Camil Chouinard (born October 20, 1956) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player who played in the 1970s and 80's for the Atlanta Flames, Calgary Flames, and St. Louis Blues. He has also had a lengthy career as a coach in the QMJHL since retiring as a player. He is now head coach in Quebec's college hockey league with the Champlain-St. Lawrence Lions in Quebec City. Playing career As a youth, Chouinard played in four consecutive Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments from 1966 to 1969, with the Quebec Citdelle and Quebec Beavers minor ice hockey teams from Quebec City. Chouinard was selected by the Atlanta Flames with the 28th overall pick in the 1974 NHL Entry Draft, following a successful junior career with the Quebec Remparts in which he was a regular at the age of 15. Josée Chouinard
Josée Chouinard (born August 21, 1969) is a Canadian former competitive figure skater. She is the 1996 Champions Series Final bronze medallist and a three-time Canadian national champion (1991, 1993–1994). She finished in the top ten at two Winter Olympics. Personal life Chouinard was born in Montreal, Quebec. In August 1997, she married Canadian pair skater Jean-Michel Bombardier. Their twins, Fiona and Noah, were born in January 2005. She and her husband separated 2006. Career Chouinard began skating following the 1976 Winter Olympics, which she saw on television. Julien Chouinard
Julien Chouinard, (February 4, 1929 – February 6, 1987) was a Canadian lawyer and civil servant who served as a puisne justice of the Supreme Court of Canada from 1979 to 1987. He was the sole Clark appointee to serve as a justice of the Supreme Court. Born in Quebec City, the son of Joseph Julien Chouinard and Berthe Cloutier, he received a BA in 1948 and a LL.L. in 1951 from Université Laval. As a Rhodes Scholar, he received a BA in 1953 from Oxford University. In 1953, he was called to the Quebec Bar and started to practise law. He also taught law at Université Laval. Marc Chouinard (born May 6, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey centre- winger who played six seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). Biography Chouinard was born in Charlesbourg, Quebec City. As a youth, he played in the 1990 and 1991 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournaments with a minor ice hockey team from Charlesbourg. Chouinard started his career in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 1993. After two successful seasons, he was drafted in the second round, 32nd overall by the Winnipeg Jets during the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. He never played for the Jets, and on February 4, 1996 Chouinard and Teemu Selanne were traded to the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim in exchange for Oleg Tverdovsky and Chad Kilger. Mathieu Chouinard
Mathieu Chouinard (born April 11, 1980) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender who played one game in the National Hockey League, with the Los Angeles Kings during the 2003–04 season. The rest of his career, which lasted from 2000 to 2006, was spent in the minor leagues. He was selected by the Ottawa Senators 15th overall in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft, and after failing to agree to a contract re-entered the draft, and in 2000 was again selected by the Senators, 45th overall. Career As a youth, Chouinard played in the 1994 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from the Mille-Îles area of Laval, Quebec.
