Deborah Anne Boone (born September 22, 1956) is an American singer, author, and actress. She is best known for her 1977 hit, " You Light Up My Life", which spent ten weeks at No. 1 on the ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart and led to her winning the Grammy Award for Best New Artist the following year. Boone later focused her music career on country music, resulting in the 1980 No. 1 country hit " Are You on the Road to Lovin' Me Again". In the 1980s, she recorded Christian music which garnered her four top 10 Contemporary Christian albums as well as two more Grammys. Michael Omartian (born November 26, 1945) is an American singer-songwriter, arranger, keyboardist, and music producer. He produced number-one records in three consecutive decades. He has earned 11 Grammy Awards nominations and won three. He spent five years on the A&R staff of ABC/Dunhill Records as a producer, artist, and arranger; then was hired by Warner Bros. Records as an in-house producer and A&R staff member. Omartian moved from Los Angeles to Nashville in 1993, where he served on the Board of Governors of the Recording Academy, and has helped to shape the curriculum for the first master's degree program in the field of Music Business at Belmont University. It catalogs more than three million album entries and 30 million tracks, as well as information on musicians and bands. Stormie Omartian () is an American Christian author. She is married to Michael Omartian, with whom she recorded five musical albums before she launched her writing career. Early career Omartian aspired to be a singer and actress at a young age. While still in college at UCLA, she started work as a singer, dancer, and actress, appearing in several professional theatrical productions in the California area and later on The Dean Martin Show, The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour, The Mac Davis Show, and The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour, along with many other roles. She worked as a backup singer for Glen Campbell, Neil Diamond, Ray Charles, The Imperials, and other well-known artists. Joe Chemay is an American bassist and background singer, known for his recording session work. Biography Chemay started out working as a session and touring support musician in Los Angeles, but moved to Nashville in 1989. Chemay has worked with Elton John, Shania Twain, Bill Medley, Peter Cetera, Lionel Richie, Christopher Cross, The Beach Boys, Leon Russell, Michael Nesmith, and others. In 1980 and 1981, Chemay participated in Pink Floyd's The Wall Tour, providing backing vocals.
