Chong Kee Hiong
Chong Kee Hiong ( zh, s=钟奇雄, poj=Cheng Kî-hiông, j=Zung1 Kei4 Hung4, p=Zhōng Qíxiǒng; born April 1966) is a Singaporean accountant and former politician who has been serving as Treasurer of the PAP Community Foundation since 2020. A member of the governing People's Action Party (PAP), he was the Member of Parliament (MP), part of the PAP team, representing Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC between 2015 to 2025. Education Chong was educated at Raffles Institution and Raffles Junior College before he received a scholarship from KPMG to study at the National University of Singapore, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Accountancy. As NUS' School of Accountancy was moved to the then Nanyang Technological Institute (predecessor of Nanyang Technological University, Singapore) in 1987, Chong is also considered an alumnus of NTU Singapore. Bishan ( ), also known as Peck San, Bishan New Town or Bishan Town, is a planning area and matured residential town located at the northernmost portion of the Central Region of Singapore. Statistically, the area is ranked the 38th biggest in terms of geographical size and the 22nd most populated planning area in the country. Singapore Improvement Trust
The Singapore Improvement Trust (SIT) is a former government organisation that was responsible for urban planning and urban renewal in Singapore. Formally established in 1927 under the Singapore Improvement Ordinance, it was modelled after similar organisations in India. The SIT initially carried out back lane improvement schemes and marking out unsanitary buildings for demolition, but began constructing public housing from 1935. After 1945, the SIT initially focused its efforts on the repair of its residential developments. It resumed constructing public housing in 1947 but was unable to keep up with demand. Zainudin bin Nordin ( Jawi: زاينودين نوردين; born 3 July 1963) is a Singaporean former politician who served as Mayor of Central Singapore District. A former member of the governing People's Action Party, he was the Member of Parliament (MP) representing the Bishan North ward of Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC between 2001 and 2011, later the Toa Payoh East ward between 2011 and 2015. Hri Kumar Nair (born 16 June 1966) is a Singaporean lawyer and former politician who has been serving as Judge of the High Court of Singapore since 2023. A former member of the People's Action Party, he was the Member of Parliament representing the Thomson division of Bishan–Toa Payoh GRC between 2006 and 2015. He was also a former Deputy Attorney-General of Singapore between 2017 and 2023.
