Chollathee Tharnthong
Chonlathee Thanthong (; born Somnuk Thongma, 31 August 1937 – 21 July 2023) was a Thai composer of luk thung and singer known by the nickname of ''The Angel of the (Luk thung) Songs'' (เทวดาเพลง), whose songs are well known and made have the many singers decorate the country music industry. He was honored by ''Office of the National Cultural Commission Ministry of Culture'' (currently the Department of Cultural Promotion Ministry of Culture) to be a 1999 National Artist Performing Arts Branch (Luk Thung Composer). Biography Somnuk Thongma was born on 31 August 1937, in Chonburi Province. His father had a mercenary career who roamed around then his mother gave birth to him while harvesting and his mother bled to death when he was only six months old. When he was born, he didn't even have rags to make diapers. Childhood life was poor. The National Artist (, , ) is a title given annually by the Office of the National Culture Commission of Thailand, recognizing notable Thai artists in the area of intangible cultural heritage such as literature, fine arts, visual arts, applied arts (architecture, design) and performing arts (Dance of Thailand, Thai dance, international dance, puppetry, Nang drama, shadow play, Music of Thailand, Thai music, international music, drama and Cinema of Thailand, film). Phan Thong District
Phan Thong (, ) is a district (''amphoe'') of the province of Chonburi in Thailand. Neighbouring districts are (from north clockwise) Bang Pakong, Ban Pho (both Chachoengsao province), Phanat Nikhom, Ban Bueng and Mueang Chonburi. History & toponymy The district is home to a large Catholic community. The community owns 10,000 rai of land in Ban Hua Pai of Tambon Khok Ki Non where the St Philip and St James Catholic Church is located.
